How to Sell Reserved-Seating Tickets Online

Build a seat map, attach it to a performance, and let buyers pick real seats.

hold expires → seat returns to Open · a sold seat can't be resold

A buyer picks a seat and it holds for a few minutes while they check out. If they finish, the seat is sold and locked; if the hold expires, the seat returns to the map for the next buyer.

Start with the room

Draw your sections, rows, and stage in the visual editor so the map matches what a patron sees when they walk in. Label rows and seats the way your ushers already say them out loud.

Attach the published map to each performance. Buyers pick a seat, it holds for a few minutes while they check out, and a sold seat can't be resold.

  • Draw the map once and reuse it every performance.
  • Use pricing zones if seats aren't all one price.
  • Hold house seats and accessible seats before you go on sale.

On sale day

Review the buyer flow on a phone before you promote the link. Confirm the seat labels, the price zones, and the checkout total all read the way you expect.
